I managed to make it 30 years without having any cavities. Today I got my first two fillings.
It wasn't as painful as people described. Actually, I didn't even feel anything.
I am having some trouble getting use to the filling and my mouth is still numb but it was totally painless.
I would totally recommend my new dentist.

Well, I'm glad it wasn't a bad experience for you.
DJ had the same issue. He sort of freaked out about having to get the fillings though. Does it hurt? blah blah blah. I told him it doesn't. But sometimes you can have some sensitivity. Especially at first. So don't be surprised if you take a drink of something hot or cold and your tooth/teeth hurt for a couple seconds.
